Large groups include our Adult Sunday School and Men's and Women's groups.  All of these groups exist to welcome in those who are new and to grow disciple-making disciples of Christ.  

Sunday Groups

  • College and Career - studying "Just Do Something" by Kevin DeYoung; led by Pastor Knott, Craig Sweeney, Stuart and Laura Cooper (meets in Pastor Knott's study)

  • Beacons – studying the Gospel of Mark, chapters 1-6; led by Shaun Pedroni (meets in Room B34 on the lower level)

  • Faithful Followers – studying a video series titled "A Protestant Revolt: A Study of the Reformation" produced by Westminster Theological Seminary with participatory discussions; led by Mr. David Morrison (meets in Room 110)

  • Focus On Relationships – studying The Way of Serenity by Jonathan Morris. It is a study of the first three lines of the serenity prayer, integrating Scripture and historical material into an in-depth look at what God's work teaches us about peace; led by Dr. Dan Shoultz (meets in Room 107)

  • The Forum – studying a video series titled "A Protestant Revolt: A Study of the Reformation" produced by Westminster Theological Seminary with participatory discussions; led by Dr. Jim Roché (meets in Room 106)

  • Home Builders – studying the Book of Genesis, led by elder Aaron Maybach (meets in Room B28 on the lower level)

  • Lives In Tune – using a DVD and study guide to consider the early church through an in-depth look at four of the churches in Asia Minor that are listed in the Book of Revelation. The next study will be the book of Hebrews, which will begin in about six weeks; led by Ms. Cindy Stephenson (meets in the room next to the SOAR office)

WED Groups

  • Gospel Conversations - using Christianity Explored materials and "Honest Evangelism" by Rico Tice, Pastor Knott leads this discussion of the book of Mark, outreach and evangelism with equal parts discussion, prayer and planning for neighborhood outreach.  6:30pm Wed. Nights after Wed. Nite Life dinners.
